HUTCHINSON, KS – Luminous Neon Art & Sign Systems is pleased to announce Josh Anderson has been selected to serve as Director of Operations for its western Kansas division. He begins work Nov. 26, 2018.
Anderson has served as Warehouse Logistics Manager for the Hutchinson location of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since 2014. For the prior 21 years, he was Store Manager for Walmart Stores Inc. in Hutchinson.

Anderson brings operations leadership experience with teams ranging from 35 to 400 employees. His training and certifications include DuPont STOP safety training, Zero Defect Culture, Lean Production, Information Security, Managing Conflict through Effective Communication, Labor Relations and others.

From 1990-1999, he served as a combat engineer in the Army National Guard with special training in leadership, fortification, hazardous materials, navigation and communications. He is a Community Leadership board member for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and is a past board member of the Rotary Club of Hutchinson. Additionally, he has served on several City of Hutchinson advisory boards and in other civic capacities.
Anderson has a background in Lean operations management, inventory management and control, personnel management and team leadership as well as quality, safety, environmental and other regulatory compliance initiatives. He will partner with Luminous Neon’s existing team to assume responsibility for production, installation and service operations in Hutchinson, Salina, Dodge City and Wichita.
Employing nearly 80 people, the company’s workforce boasts an average tenure of more than 12 years with Luminous Neon Art & Sign Systems and a collective 1,250+ years of industry experience. Founded in 1928, the company is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2018.
As the largest on-premise sign provider in Kansas, Luminous Neon Art & Sign Systems offers full project management capabilities including permitting, design, fabrication, installation, service and repair. Operating locations include Hutchinson, Dodge City, Salina, Wichita, Topeka, Lawrence and Olathe.
