Luminous operates a Healthy Lifestyles program offering employee incentives to pursue individual wellness. For the months of April and May, the company engaged a record number of participants in its monthly activity challenges. Thirty-six employees have agreed to take part in the Walk Kansas initiative sponsored by the Kansas State University Agricultural Station and Cooperative Extension Service.

Walk Kansas involves teams of six from employers statewide. The objective is for each participant to walk a predefined number of minutes each week. In doing so, each individual will contribute to team progress which is recorded on a tracking website. After nearly 60 days, each team will have walked a distance equivalent to the number of miles required to cross the state of Kansas on Interstate 70. Some teams have adopted even more ambitious goals.

Thanks to all employees who are participating (see below for complete list). Good luck, walkers!
